The DC-10 antibody clone recognizes the 45 kDa keratin 18 polypeptide. Keratins are intermediate filament proteins also called cytokeratins that are mainly expressed in a variety of simple and glandular epithelia. Keratin 18 is not expressed in stratified squamous epithelium. In the mammary gland, keratin 18 is expressed by luminal epithelial cells but not by myoepithelial cells.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
