The kit for thrombin time determination are intended for use in screening tests to detect functional activity of fibrinogen and thrombin inhibitors in plasma:
– products of fibrin/fibrinogen degradation;
– heparin and heparinoids;
– fibrinolytic therapy.
Anomalous thrombin time is observed in cases of hypofibrinogenemia, afibrinogenemia and dysfibrinogenemia. Principle Method is based on the fact that after
adding of thrombin to citrate plasma time of clot forming depends only on quantity and activity of fibrinogen in this plasma, activity of thrombin and
presence of inhibitors. Reaction has one stage.
